I presented at multiple conferences, including those hosted by the New York State Alternative Education Association, Genesee Boards of Cooperative Educational Services, and Binghamton University’s Education School. These events attracted educators, administrators, and community leaders, offering a platform for me to share knowledge, inspire collaboration, and foster a deeper understanding of alternative education programs and community-centered learning approaches.

During my time at TST BOCES, I had the opportunity to engage with diverse audiences, from school faculty and administrative teams to parents and students. I focused on delivering content that not only informed but also motivated attendees to think critically about alternative education methods, providing actionable strategies for implementing change in their own communities. My ability to convey complex topics in an accessible and engaging manner was a key aspect of my role.

In addition to public speaking, I also worked closely with TST BOCES and community school faculty, offering guidance and facilitating discussions aimed at improving educational outcomes. This role allowed me to sharpen my communication skills and develop a deep understanding of educational challenges, particularly within alternative learning environments.

       Key Speaking Locations:

South Seneca Elementary School

Binghamton University Education School

State University of New York

Binghamton New York State Alternative Education Association Conference

Genesee Boards of Cooperative Educational Services Alternative School

Tompkins Seneca Tioga Boards of Cooperative Educational Services Community School

Key Skills Developed:

Public Speaking and Presentation

Educational Outreach and Advocacy

Communication and Audience Engagement

Workshop and Conference Facilitation

Collaboration with Educational Professionals

Knowledge of Alternative Education Methods

Community Building and Leadership

Tags

Experience

Volunteering

Public Speaking

Fri, 24 Jan 2025 06:01:22 +0000 Brandon Weigand 31 at https://brandonweigand.github.io
