As an Adobe Tutor at Tompkins Cortland Community College (TC3), I was responsible for providing hands-on instruction in Adobe Creative Suite and various open-source software applications. My role involved teaching students both the fundamentals and advanced techniques of graphic design, photo editing, and web development. Through personalized one-on-one sessions and group workshops, I helped students develop essential skills in tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro.
Additionally, I supported professors in lesson planning, delivered instructional content during lectures, and provided technical assistance to students during class projects. This position enhanced my ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively, while also strengthening my leadership and organizational skills. By maintaining a supportive learning environment, I played a key role in fostering students' growth and confidence in their creative abilities.
In this role, I also utilized my knowledge of design principles and open-source software to expand the curriculum and ensure students received a comprehensive education in both industry-standard and alternative creative tools.
